May 13~Mother’s Day
Message: “The Family” Scripture: 1 John 5:1-6; John 15:9-17
Focus: The Bible stresses that love is the center of Gods family. God’s family is seen in our earthly families and love plays a central part in positive family system. Moms often personify this earthy expression of love.
May 20~Heritage Sunday
Message: "O Lord, Put Me to What You Will" Scripture: Acts 1:15-17,21-26; John 17:6-19
Focus: We have a great heritage of faith to share with those around us. John & Charles Wesley , Frances
Asbury, Thomas Coke, and others encouraged and taught us the faith that Jesus himself prayed for. United Methodist continue to be in forefront of those folks who have became the least of our brothers and
Sisters in need. Let us boldly go where our heritage in Christ directs us.
May 27th~ Pentecost Sunday
Message: “The Last Full Measure” Scripture: 1 Samuel 31:1-6; John 14:1-4
Focus: Like the song, “Onward Christian Soldiers” we are reminded that God is our commanding general and Jesus is chief of staff. We see God and know that chain of command that leads to the kingdom of God. We need to follow in and believe in it. If we do that then Christ prepares a place for us and those who have given the final full measure.
